OUR STORIES

Our students make Everglade one of the most exceptional charter schools in North Carolina.

“At Everglade, I’ve been able to explore a wide array of interests—from Latin to economics to stagecraft. In fact, the variety of opportunities here has put me on an unexpected path: I’ve become heavily involved in the theater program, particularly the behind-the-scenes technical work of designing and setting up shows.”

ADRIAN YOUNG, Class of 2026

“I’ve never been an artist, but learning photography has shown me that every person can be creative no matter what. Since taking Intro to Digital Photography, I cofounded the Photography Club and am looking forward to taking my fourth photography class next year!”

CALI MERCER, Class of 2026

“Now in the Everglade jazz band, I have leveled up, recording high-quality songs and competing nationally, thanks to the many resources at Everglade—resources that my eight-year-old self could have only dreamed of.”

JORDAN BOOKER, Class of 2026
